Another Epic British Superbike Season Concludes For R&G

After a dramatic and very wet finale at Brands Hatch, the curtain has fallen on the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Having been a long-time sponsor of the series, we were proud to be along for the ride on every twist and turn of this season, one that is surely going to go down in the history books.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to Kyle Ryde, the 2025 British Superbike Champion. It was an incredible season for ‘Youth’, and he became the first rider to win back-to-back titles since Shane Byrne back in 2017. This year, we continued to be the crash protection supplier of choice for a number of the leading teams, including the Moto Rapido Ducati of Leon Haslam, who took third overall in the standings, as well as the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati, MasterMac Honda and Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda.

In the R&G Rising Stars battle, a unique award just for those riders making their rookie season in the Superbike class, former GP rider John McPhee came out on top, narrowly beating Scott Swann, with Blaze Baker finishing third.

However, our ethos here at R&G has always been to support the stars of tomorrow, which is why our R&G crash protection products can be found across the paddock. In what was arguably one of the most competitive seasons ever in the British Supersport class, Rhys Irwin on the R&G-protected Gearlink Bike Performance 15 Suzuki was eventually crowned Champion, coming down to the last lap of the last race. Stalwarts of the paddock, it was an emotional moment for the Gearlink squad as they finally claimed the elusive Supersport crown after nearly 20 years of racing… and we’re honoured to have been protecting the team since 2009.

Rhys didn’t have the season all his own way, though, and he was pushed every lap by the R&G-protected Ducati of Ben Currie, who secured second overall in the standings. We would also like to give a special shoutout to fellow R&G rider Keo Walker, who was the 2025 Supersport Cup Champion.

Further success came in the Superstock class, with Josh Ownes securing third overall in the standings, while in the competitive Sportbike category, Ferre Fleerackers finished second with Fenton Seabright in third.

We were also proud to return as the title sponsors to the R&G British Talent Cup, which provides a path for young riders into MotoGP. This season was another epic, and it was Ethan Sparks who eventually crowned champion and will now go on to compete in the 2026 Red Bull Rookies Cup.

R&G is also the official crash protection supplier to the BMW F 900 R Cup. The most packed grid of every class, the racing never disappoints, and it was former BSB rider Barry Burrell who eventually took the title.

Finally, keeping the paddock protected is a major task, and we want to thank Richard and Chris, our R&G Technical Centre team. Found in the centre of the paddock at almost every round, the Technical Centre provides essential crash protection and racing accessories, ensuring teams can get back on track in the next session.

We hope you all enjoyed the season as much as we did… here’s to 2026!
