Are they cotton reels or swingarm protectors? Well, they are both really!!

R&G Offset Cotton Reels protect the swingarm and core swingarm components from damage in the event of a crash, slide or drop. Doubling up as paddock stand bobbins too, they allow the motorcycles rear wheel to be lifted into the air with the use of a paddock stand to perform chain adjustments, chain lubrication and cleaning!

This particular pair of R&G Offset Cotton Reel kit has been specially designed to move the Cotton Reel/Paddock Stand Bobbin location further rearward as conventionally swingarm mounted cotton reels could/would impact the OE exhaust during suspension travel, causing damage and suspension/handling performance issues.

Suitable for the BMW G310R / GS  '17-25, G310RR '22-25 & TVS Apache RR 310 '21-25 models.

Cotton Reels are large paddock-stand supports that thread into the mounting points on your swingarm, giving you a secure and reliable lifting point while also helping protect the swingarm itself in the event of a slide or drop. 

For bikes where the mounting holes aren’t centred or the swingarm shape creates clearance issues, we also offer offset Cotton Reels. These use a stepped or angled design to shift the lifting point outward, ensuring the paddock stand engages cleanly and safely — even when a straight, screw-in reel won’t fit correctly.

Whatever your swingarm layout, standard or awkward, there’s a cotton reel option that keeps your bike stable and easy to lift.

Delivery & Returns

All of our packages - international and domestic are dispatched using only trusted couriers (DPD, DHL, Royal Mail and Parcel Force) where a signature is required upon delivery.

Our shipping charges are based on the weight of the consignment and our standard delivery method by DPD next day (within the UK) or Royal Mail Airmail (country dependant) for international customers.

Generally in the UK you can expect to receive your parts within 5 working days (excluding weekends and UK bank holidays) of placing the order, depending on stock availability. Internationally this varies but tracking details will be provided to easily track your order when in transit.

Ordering from abroad and Import Duties

You can make an overseas order on our website. Please help us and our delivery companies by taking extra care with the address details to ensure they are correct. Please note your goods may be subject to import duties and taxes which will be levied when the order reaches the delivery address. You are responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. R&G has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. For further information please contact your local customs office before placing your order. Failure to pay these charges will result in your parcel being returned and a 25% restocking fee (of original invoice value) being applied to your order.

Should you have a product you would like to return, please give us a call (+44 (0) 1420 89007) first, so that we can authorise the return. You will then be given all the details you need to make the return as quick and efficient as possible. Alternatively if you cannot phone us during our working hours, please send an email to info@rg-racing.com and we will reply with the details. Please have your delivery note or invoice number to hand when getting in touch.
