About 2 weeks ago I was out for a Sunday morning blast on my Fireblade down towards Petworth. On my way back I went for a knee down on a deserted roundabout and took a bit of a slide on some loose gravel. The bike went down fairly gently, but proceeded to slide until it met with the kerb on the other side. I was expecting the worst when I lifted the bike up, but the crash protector had done its job and I had got away with a bent brake pedal and scrape marks on the clutch cover plate and lower fairing panel. I've already replaced the nylon bush from the crash protector, and would recommend them to anyone with a sports bike.
