Steve Martin Racing puts R&G protection to the test in Malaysia Superbike Championship!By R&G in Superbike on on 21 August 2015

Steve MartinReigning Malaysia Superbike Champion Steve Martin (#17) put his R&G crash protection to the test, on his championship leading Kawasaki ZX10-R at the latest round of the Malaysia Superbike Championship series, after a 60kph turn 2 low side crash at the Sepang International Circuit.

Thanks entirely to the raft of R&G accessories provided by R&G Singapore; including Aero Crash Protectors, Engine Case Covers, Adjustable Rearsets, Fork Protectors, Carbon Tank Sliders and Cotton Reels installed on the Steve Martin Racing Kawasaki ZX10-R, the bike was kept well protected, with only minor fairing scuffs resulting from the 60kph off.

Here is what Steve Martin had to say:

“Unfortunately whilst chasing Cameron Donald in the Superbike race I lost the front in Turn 2 which is a second gear corner coming off the throttle at approx 60KPH. Thanks to the R&G crash protection system there was no damage to engine casing, forks, frame, swinging arm, seat unit or tank.

Steve Martin“R&G Aero Crash Protectors allow the bike to slide, scrubbing speed whilst keeping the bike elevated off the deck, combined with the R&G Cotton Reels and R&G Engine Case Covers (also fitted to the bike), the bike was virtually undamaged with only minor fairing damage. The R&G Adjustable Rearsets did not break either so the bike was still rideable. Thanks R&G for your continued support.“
