Remove upper
rear seat panel and identify no. plate lamp & indicator loom
connectors |
 |
Disconnect looms |
 |
Using a 10mm
socket and ratchet, carefully loosen all four hex head set screws,
securing current tail assembly |
 |
With all tension
removed, continue to unscrew the four screws, whilst supporting
assembly with your free hand |
 |
You can now
lower the assembly with only the looms in contact with the bike |
 |
Carefully, one
by one, unthread the wiring looms through the tail panel
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL ALL THROUGH AT ONCE OR DAMAGE TO THE LOOMS
AND BIKE WILL RESULT |
 |
Using the
original set screws, raise the new R&G tail tidy into position and
insert and start each fixing by hand first to prevent any cross
threading |
 |
Once happy that
all four fixings are successfully started, continue to tighten them
all equally |
 |
Tighten all four
firmly but do not overtighten, or damage to the licence plate hanger
or the bike will result |
 |
With the tail
tidy now in position you can fit up with your choice of accessories
and indicators. Looms should be carefully routed through the 15mm
holes provided |
 |
Reconnect looms
and replace upper rear seat cover panel to complete the task
