instructions for R&G Licence Plate Holder

N.B. Fitting the R&G licence plate hanger
involves permanent removal of the bike’s side bungee hooks. Remove rear seat cover and seat.
Remove the two screws at back of bike, on top surface
of tail unit.
Remove the six push-stop lugs which hold rear seat
cowl to the undertray (located underneath tail unit, along flanks).
Remove rear seat cowl.
Remove black tool tray (only one screw to remove).
Release wires to the right of the rear seat and
disconnect all four connectors.
Remove the four screws holding the undertray to the
centre of the sub frame – this will allow complete removal of tail unit
– go ahead and remove it.
Remove the two bungee hooks (keep the two black
nipples for use in a moment).
Locate the R&G hanger, using the four available
holes through the undertray, and fasten using the nuts supplied.
Take the wires from the R&G hanger and feed up
through the central hole in the undertray, and connect to the smallest of
the connectors.
Replace the two black nipples which were removed
along with the bungee hooks.
Select indicators and fix them to the R&G hanger
(if you wish to use large indicators you will need to bore out the holes
in the hanger).
Route cables as they were and fix them into place.
Test unit for correct operation of indicators and
licence plate illuminator.
Re-assemble tail unit of bike by reversing the
dismantling procedure described above.
The
catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad

G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the
Products as being of merchantable quality and suitable for its
particular purposes. Where R
& G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise
reasonable skill and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless
the workmanship has been disturbed.The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the warranty on the
motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return
of any defective Products R & G shall at its option either supply a
replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the
Products have been modified or used or maintained otherwise than in
accordance with R & G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good
engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other
than identified above and subject to R & G not limiting its
liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be liable
for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be
limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting
or service concerned. These
terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.
