R&G Customers Say
NO to ' Fairing, Screw-Mounted' crash mushrooms! |
|
I received the crash protectors for my zx7 today
thanks, also have a couple of close up pictures of damage on old bike using
cheap mushrooms that you may find useful as they are more clear than the others
you have. (see attachments)

Hi Simon
Last weekend saw our first National KRC 6 Hour Endurance Race at
Snetterton. After qualifying mid pack of 45 teams on an ill handling bike
the race started at 1200. Unfortunately after 30 mins of racing and in
around 20 position the Russell's Chicane took its toll with a resultant
High-Side. The bike went down the track on its side and then onto the rumble
strip. The RG-Racing crash protection worked well although we did suffer from a
cracked right hand side engine casing - probably due to the rumble strip.
30 minutes later we were back out on track and back up to 36 place. At
around the 3hour 20 point another high speed off brought the bike back to pit
lane for more attention with fairing damage and little else, again the RG crash
protectors did their job and minimized major damage to exhaust and engine
casings. The next 3 hours of racing went very well and we romped home in
30 position overall, picked up championship points in class and then > won the
best pit crew award. All this can be seen on the KRC website
www.krcendurance.co.uk under the race report on the results page. You can also
see our team at www.teamphoenixracing.com and I attach a couple of photos for
your info. So all in all we tested your product to the max and were very happy
with the results. Your crash protection prevented more serious damage from
occurring and stayed intact with 2 crashes - one on each side. Thank you for you
assistance and support and hope that our overuse of your crash protectors last
race will not be repeated in Bishopscourt in Ireland on June 21.

Hi Simon,
We spoke at the Bike Show on Saturday (05/11/05) about my SV650s
when I enquired about obtaining a replacement bung for the left hand
side of my bike following an accident.
I came off my bike whilst rounding a corner on the approach to a
roundabout, I was travelling at about 30mph at the time. My bike
fell
onto its left hand side and slid for about 5 meters. The R&G bung on
the left hand side bent backwards in the impact but saved my bike
from sustaining any damage whatsoever, which is commendable bearing
in mind my bike is fitted with fairing lowers! Please find
attached 3 photographs showing the condition of my bike following
the accident.
Kind regards,
Dave Coats.
